KARMIC CYCLES

What Are Karmic Cycles?

Karmic cycles are life cycles that we must undergo to learn specific lessons that catapult our soul growth and expansion.  These lessons, when learned, free us from generational curses and subconscious programming that hinders our progression and development. Due to people’s unawareness of them,  they often have a tendency to remain stuck in these karmic rhythms. If you’ve ever found yourself in repetitive negative ordeals, or situations, you are more than likely stuck in a karmic cycle. These cycles will go on repeating themselves until the lesson is acknowledged and has been learned, because of course,  if you're repeating the same mistakes, then you haven’t yet learned from them.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”. - Albert Einstein

The Consequences of Failing To Break Free From Karmic Cycles

When we keep repeating the same mistakes, we continue to experience negative consequences and setbacks in our personal and professional life. This leads to us developing a pattern of
self-doubt and self-blame, as well as feelings of frustration and disappointment. Over time, this can lead to a decline in confidence and self-esteem, and may interfere with our ability to learn and grow from our experiences. We begin to hoarder these underlying feelings of unworthiness and develop a sense of self-distrust. More importantly as we continue to repeat the same mistakes, we miss out on opportunities for personal and professional development. If we don’t break through them, the karmic cycles will never end but life for us does if we don’t learn  how to positively navigate through their catastrophic waves. Repeatedly making the same mistakes can have several consequences, both in the short term and the long term:

  • Stagnation: Continuously repeating the same mistakes can lead to stagnation in personal growth and development. You may find yourself stuck in the same patterns and unable to progress or achieve your goals.

  • Frustration and Regret: Consistently making the same mistakes can be frustrating and lead to feelings of regret. You might regret not learning from past experiences or taking steps to avoid repeating the errors.

  • Damaged Self-Esteem: Repeated mistakes can erode your self-esteem and self-confidence. Over time, you may begin to doubt your abilities or feel inadequate, leading to a negative self-image.

  • Strained Relationships: Mistakes can strain relationships with others. People may become frustrated or lose trust if they see you making the same errors without taking corrective action.

  • Missed Opportunities: Repeating mistakes may lead to missed opportunities. Whether in your personal or professional life, making the same errors can prevent you from seizing new chances or achieving success.

  • Increased Stress: Consistently making mistakes can lead to chronic stress and anxiety, especially if you worry about the consequences of your actions.

  • Loss of Trust: Trust in your judgment and abilities may diminish among colleagues, friends, or family members if they observe a pattern of repeated mistakes.

  • Health Consequences: Prolonged stress and negative emotions associated with repeated mistakes can have adverse effects on your physical and mental health, potentially leading to issues like insomnia, anxiety disorders, or depression.

  • Professional Consequences: In the workplace, repeated mistakes can result in disciplinary actions, job loss, or damage to your professional reputation.

  • Financial Impact: Financial mistakes, if repeated, can have a significant impact on your financial stability and future prospects.

How Do We Identify Karmic Cycles And How Do We Break Free From Karmic Cycles?

These karmic rhythms are the continuous process of cause and effect, where actions and intentions of an individual determine their quality of life. Every action, whether good or bad, has a consequence. How we respond to people and experiences that we come across that may seem challenging determines whether we accumulate dharma or karma. Karma is the accumulation of density from bad thoughts, bad words and bad behaviors. These karmic algorithms are passed down through generations if not broken, known as generational curses. Karmic cycles follow us through a series of rebirths, shaping our lives either positively or negatively depending on how we choose to navigate them. Positive actions lead to positive dharma, while negative actions lead to negative karma. The key to breaking these karmic cycles is to reach a level of enlightenment, where one achieves liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth.

They are usually characterized by habitual codependency  between you and others.  Envision a boy who gets kicked out of his sister’s house at the age of 16. He then decides to move in with a friend, and that doesn’t work out either so he gets kicked out again. He continues this pattern of relying on others for a home, thus he continues this pattern of instability in his home life until the age of 30. He never stops getting kicked out. This is an example of a codependent karmic cycle. Karmic cycles can also be a result of your subconscious manifestations and poor behaviors. Never dwell on your past, for it cannot be changed. The “Law of Attraction” is infinite, and will continuously manifest your thoughts into your physical reality. Likewise your poor behaviors accumulate in density known as karma and will undoubtedly be returned to you with intensity. So be inspired to sow seeds of good deeds and positive thoughts and you’ll have the power to work your own miracles.

So, how did the boy we envisioned break free? He became consciously aware of this repetitive pattern, went through the shelter system that  assisted  him by providing temporary housing and a rental assistance voucher and he moved into his own home. Breaking free from karmic cycles is quite a daunting task, but it's not impossible, it just requires us to get uncomfortable and for us to exert optimal effort. You just have to be able to identify it so that you become consciously aware and then clog the wheel by doing something different than what you’ve already done — by responding differently than you have before to people and situations that are meant to grow you for the better.

It's essential to recognize that making mistakes is a normal part of life, and everyone makes them from time to time. The key is to learn from your mistakes and take steps to prevent their recurrence. This includes self-reflection, seeking feedback, developing new strategies, and practicing self-compassion. Overcoming the pattern of repeating the same mistakes requires commitment, self-awareness, and a willingness to grow and change. By taking  conscious steps to withdraw, you’ll stop those self-inhibiting behaviors and reinvent the wheel.  Become a listener to those negative thoughts in your head that only feed adverse outcomes and steer yourself into a more positive direction and you’ll  become the master of your mind and your life.
